The stronger of the two great versions of Gorgonzola, Piccante, meaning spicy, is sometimes known as Mountain.  The paste is milky white and smooth, and the dark blue veins are yes, quite strong and spicy. Amazing paired with Lambrusco and dessert wines, and sweet fruit or salty olives alike.
