This year, our lineup of giftables includes a curated collection of chocolates and candies, but we’re adding some goodies for the culinarily-inclined folks in your life, too! We’ve written about organic, non-GMO pasta made with Italian heirloom grains before, but as you might remember, Bona Furtuna got their start as an olive farm. As for satisfying a sweet tooth, we already know you come to us for high quality sweets from near and far, so we upped the ante and brought in chocolates from Chapon Chocolatier. Chapon has been making fine chocolates and other confections in Paris since 1985, with a craft so honed it’s literally award-winning. Their decadent advent calendars sold out before we could even announce them in this post, but that doesn’t mean you’ve missed out! For the chocolate purists in your life, the Pure Origin Collection is a 36-piece world tour of Patrice Chapon’s 12 favorite sources for single origin chocolate, complete with tasting notes in both French and English. Chapon's Canelas are a winning combination of nougatine (nougat's darker, crunchier sibling made of caramelized sugar), a fluffy hazelnut praliné, and an ultra-thin coating of dark chocolate. When we say winning, we do mean it—these won Bronze in the European 2018 International Chocolate Awards, and took Gold this year at the French 2020 International Chocolate Awards! (For the chocolate nay-sayers in your life, don’t worry, they're covered too.)
